April Square is here!! Crochet Mood Blanket 2014 by Pukado

OMG, it's already the last day of March! Time flies, crazy!!

So a quick post as I'm busy with the prep work for my little girl's 6th (!!!!) birthday party this weekend.

Lots of baking, cooking and cleaning and no time for crocheting (hahaha as if...) and other stuff!

So I already had the square done 2 weeks ago, but haven't gotten around to write it down and take pictures.

I made a special one for my girl's birthday, you can't see the glitter and sparkle really in the picture, but it's there!!

I will only do the first 5 rows in picture, as the rest of the square is the same as the Januari , Februari and March squares.

This square is made with Stylecraft Special DK and hook size 4.5mm. Square will measure 15cm/6" with my gauge. Please keep in mind, I crochet loose, so to get the same size you may have to go up a hook size.

R1, MC, 11DC, SLST to first DC - 12 st

R2, CH2, DC in same st, *2DC in next st* repeat around - 24st

R3, CH2, HDC in same st, HDC in next st, *2HDC, HDC* repeat around - 36st

R4, DC around DCpost of R2 underneath it, 2TR around DCpost of R1, skip a DC post of R2, DC around next DCpost of R2, skip 2 normal stitches, SC in next st, *DC around same DCpost of R2 as last one, 2TR around DCpost of R1, skip a DC post of R2, DC around next DCpost of R2, skip 2 normal stitches, SC in next st* repeat around - See picture

R5, SLST in to the first free st of R3, CH2, HDC in same st, CH2, 2HDC in next st, *skip SC of R4, 2HDC in next free R3st, CH2, 2HDC in next R3st* repeat around, SLST to first HDC

   Work in these stitches (2HDC, CH2, 2HDC)

R6, SLST to first CH2Space, CH2, 2DC in same space, (6DC, CH2, 6DC) in next space, 6DC in next space, *6DC in next space, (6DC, CH2, 6DC) in next space, 6DC in next space* repeat around, 3DC in same space as first CH2, SLST to first DC

R7, CH3, SLST on top of next 6HDCshell, CH3, SLST on top of next 6HDCshell, CH3, SLST in corner, CH3, SLST in same cornerspace, *CH3, SLST on top of each next 6HDCshell until you reach the corner*, CH3, SLST in corner, CH3, SLST in same cornerspace, *CH3, SLST on top of each next 6HDCshell until you reach the corner*, CH3, SLST in corner, CH3, SLST in same cornerspace, *CH3, SLST on top of each next 6HDCshell until you reach the corner*, CH3, SLST in corner, CH3, SLST in same cornerspace, CH3, SLST on top of next 6HDCshell CH3, SLST to first SLST

R8, SLST into next CH3Space, CH2, 3HDC in same CH3Space, *4HDC in each of next CH3Spaces until you reach a corner, 2HDC, CH2, 2HDC in corner space* repeat all around, SLST to first HDC.
